Illegal gun heat on GNLF leader

The Telegraph, Kurseong, Jan. 23: Police have seized two unlicensed firearms from the house of a GNLF leader in Ghayabari and arrested his wife. The leader, who is accused of shooting at Gorkha Janmukti Morcha supporters in front of his house last night, is absconding. [Inset: Deepa Pradhan (encircled) being taken to jail from the court. Deepa Pradhan, the wife of Kurseong branch president of the GNLF, I.N. Pradhan, was picked up from her house at Ghayabari, 15km from Kurseong, along with a double-barrel gun and a revolver last night.
