Madan Tamang is a man with an “enormous gift of the gab”. This Talent of his draws the Crowds. It is a wonder how he is recognised as a Politician - and if it be so he is a “Politician without any Followers / Supporters” because he has never been a Peoples Representative. He Craves for Power to Weild Influence on the General Masses but todays Junta knows whom to follow.
Who is the Beneficiary when he distributed copies of Atul Roys 28.11.2005 Letter ? Is it not the CPI(M) ? Can’t the Gorkhas see that Madan Tamang is a Stooge of the CPI(M) ? This is how this self professed Politician makes his money - by selling Dreams and Aspirations of the Masses.
I am amazed that eminent writers like you give importance to such Game-Spoilers. He is a Pain in the N… / A.. / Everywhere that he happens to crop up. Please Help Us to Remain Away from this “Nincompoop”. Rather it is Time that the People Banished Madan Tamang and Subash Ghising from the Proposed Areas of Gorkhaland along with his Sycophants if any.
Anyway Keep Us Updated with the Gorkhaland Movement.

Dinesh every one’s entitled to his/her view this is a democracy that we are living in…ideas of banishing people because they do not agree or they bring up topics like how the parties that GJMM is hob nobbing with had themselves earler declared us “foreigners” well that needs to be brought out to the public too…after all its better we know now than get stabbed in the back later…
What is important is that the question be posed to AIGL what have you been doing for the community in the last 65 years…their report card needs to be shown…

Aardee,
Truly this is a Democracy and everyone is entitled to voice his / her thoughts but at the moment, the Movement needs support from every quarters. Madan Tamang seem intent on driving a wedge in the Forum leading the Movement. He demanded for a Collective Leadership - Fine Great Idea but he wanted to be the Chairman / President, when he saw that things were not moving in his favour, he quietly sulked and vanished. Now when the KPP is lending its support, why come out in public to humiliate Roy - KPP’s support is favourable for our Movement but Madan Tamang is alieniating them by his deliberations. Is this good for the Movement ? Think, I’d like to know your views.
As for Rubin, you have portrayed yourself as just another foul-mouthed junkie. If you think great about yourself, behave / comment decently. I’m open for discussion / debate - but please mind your language - it does not behove of a Gorkha who has the capability to lead a Young State to Development and Progress.

Dinesh,
Yes the movement needs support and it will get it if it is “inclusive” not exclusive. In politics we know and have seen people say stuff for effect and are out to pull each other down. But we poor janta need to know all that is happening before we can decide our fate.
Therefore I am asking if we are to take Tamang seriously we must know what has he done for our community in 65 years of the AIGL there must be some milestones they can tell us about? That’s the report card I’m talking about…as for myself well if I stand for a public office I shall talk of my report card and my achievement for the moment I am just a keen observer and participant and am willing to get better informed.

Hi Aardee,
Good to See you respond. In politics it is always a game of one upmanship. Today in this situation, we do not need, or rather should not be playing politics. Our sole focus should be the Achievement of Gorkhaland and therefore should work in unison with every one however big or small; however miniscule his / her contribution may be for in the end every small deed that results in Victory shall be Counted. This is somewhere that Rubin had quoted John F. Kennedy “Ask not what your Country can do for You, Ask what You can Do for Your Country”. So very apt even after Half a Century.
Do you think it is necessary to ask for their Report Card which is almost blank ? Can we not move forward herefrom ? Ask them how an Organisation as old as theirs with a History of Demanding Separation from Bengal can lead the Movement forward towards the achievemnt of Our Dreams. Let us Convince each and every person that we meet that there is a necessity for the formation of Gorkhaland, that it is the one and only aspiration of the residents of this region and this is the only solution that has alienated us from the Indian Mainstream. We Want Gorkhaland and that is the only Solution. All our dislikes, hatreds and differences must be dissolved for the achievemnt of this. Let us think and work together - the Goal is Distant but Not Impossible.
Jai Gorkha, Jai Hind.
