20 injured in Nepal clash

Kathmandu, Jun 6 (PTI) At least 20 people have been injured in a clash between Maoists and members of CPN-UML in a local cooperative in Khimti area of Ramechhap district. The clash had occurred yesterday over the issue of electing representatives in the cooperative. The Maoists beat up members of CPN-UML after they failed to elect former rebels’ cadres in the cooperative’s board, sources said.
Six persons, who sustained critical injuries, have been airlifted to Kathmandu for further treatment. PTI SBP GD 06062002 DEL
