College, but students from the hills, even with better marks than many of these plain students, cannot get admission here? Is this because of some foul play enacted by the education dept. of west bengal, which takes in plain students even in this only single govt. college in the hills, and on the other hand so many hill students have to go down to Siliguri or Bagdogra to study? This matter should be investigated.. Hill college should be for hill students mostly, and students from the hill sub-divisions should get preference to study here.. but this is not happening. Darjeeling hills have different climate from plains..so an independent university for hill colleges with adapted academic calender to the hill climate..would be good.
