    This is my siganture for Gorkhaland.I do agree that separate state within India is our Birth Right.

    Why Jantar Mantar… we should have it in the sprawling greens of the India Gate…n considering we will have a lot of people there also on their regular Sunday pic-nic we could have easy informed more of our fellow Indians about our cause…also like I said before India Gate has the Amar Jawan Jyoti and many of the names inscribed on the India Gate are from our community.

    Those who are In Kolkata.. All India Students Association (AISA).. Student Union, Jadavpur University is holding a seminar cum discussion session on Gorkhaland… the probable date is 9th of July… please attend

    Let the new hill state be called DARJEELING. Gorkhaland denotes only a particular community.

    A state by the name Darjeeling will still not give us an identity. We are fighting for our identity, so it has to be named Gorkhaland. I am sure the majority of Bhutias, Lepchas and Bengalis and other communites would have no problem with that except for a few like Pemsang.

    Who told you that I dont have any problem with GL name???Are you astrologer??? We are strongly against the name of “GORKHALAND”, The new state is not only your identity it’s for all of us. So name should be “DARJEELING”,Giving name “GORKHALAND” is always NO NO.

    Or we can give name “Hill Pradesh” like our “Himachal Pradesh” or “ARUNACHAL PRADESH”, But we lapchas & bhutias do oppose the name “GORKHALAND”. “GORKHALAND” is showing only GORKHAS identity not ours, but we lapchas are the actual inhabitant of these area but we are not saying to give its name “LEPCHA LAND”. we want a name which would be accepted by all of us. That is “DARJEELING STATE” or “HILL PRADESH”.

    Well sorry folks any other name than Gorkhaland will definitely not get us our ID.

    The Indian state must have “Gorkha” in the name that is for sure
