SIKKIM: Sikkim Cabinet decides to raise two additional IRBs

Gangtok: The Sikkim Government has decided to raise two additional Indian Reserve Battalions in the State. The decision was taken yesterday during a Cabinet meeting of the Sikkim Government at Tashiling Secretariat here, an official release issued today said. The Cabinet also approved to have a brand name contest for the citizens, intellectuals, media, students and employees from within and outside the State to market Sikkim Tourism.

The Cabinet also approved to allot R. 1.5 crore for the production of a film on Sikkim. It also approved a project to develop tourist infrastructure at Tiffin Dara and children’s park in Namchi, South Sikkim at the cost of Rs. 3.4 crore. (with inputs from Agencies)

    While Sikkim is progressing by leap and bounds, Darj is regressing at the same speed unfortunately.
