Dear Kamal
Any report should carry the date and venue of the event which perhaps because of oversight is missing from yr report.
Also organisers who claim that any event was conducted to raise money for a dharamshala ( which actually means a resting place for pilgrims) are also liable to answer for it. Taking up a public office means that you should be able to answer qs without getting defensive or direct the enquirer to a person who can answer it reasonably.
Trust is very important. Everyone knows my grouse with Bhagop is because they raised a colossol sum of money for the Durga Malla statue from Gorkhas and non-Gorkhas all over India and then CLAIMED that the money was donated by the Bhartiya Gorkha Parisangh with not even a word in their perfectly worded media cell release announcement, of those who donated but were not members of BGP. (the bulk of donators were not BGP members)
In many other matters they are exploiting the Gorkha sentiments only to glorify themselves. And not evn doing it correctly.
The other day, a BGP president tells me “We are now joining with the GJMM. We told them you have the manpower we have the intelligentsia(???)”
I told him “I am sorry XXX, I beg to differ. I have not found BGP more intelligent than GJMM or GJMM members any less intelligent than you. At most you can go by yr unproved claim that BGP has offices across 22 states of India. That is yr only created USP.”
The big Gorkhali musical event in Dec is supposed to aim at building a Gorkha cultural centre in Delhi. Whether the aim is the desire of one person or of a collate… god only knows. Anyway organising such an event requires great organisational abilities and I wish the organisers all the best to pull off a quality show.
Organisers shd also have an auditor on board and keep personal biases out. In the last GJMM Foundation day, Kiran Rasailly by all kind of dramabaazi had his way as to whom of his favoured ones he wanted to give stage presence to.
JTM said
I also cannot imagine Kamal taking a percentage. He is too proud for that. But yes there has to be transparency. All organisations hsd be able to release an annual report at the end of every financial year.
There are many youths in Delhi who spend a lot of their time for the Gorkha cause. They sacrifice valuable time which could have gone into career/profssional and personal enhancement. It is a competitive world, good jobs are scarce and being a professional myself I know how much credit is attched to professionals who give their utmost extra to their work whether as time or dedication. Our people are totally into Gorkha cause work at the cost of personal and career development time. In Delhi if you miss yr youth towards dedication to the office, you miss the bus.
People who give in time should also be be compensated for their monetary expenditures…it could be for commuting, food, etc. On holidays many sacrifice their day of rest and other recreational activities (which everyone deserves) to Gorkha cause work.
There are many who are sincere and dedicated and many out to ride the surf.
Kamal pl provide Chistopher with the name of the President and contact. These are not meant to be secrets, are they?

This is exactly the way i feel….although i am not looking for any monetary compensation, i expect the leadership and organisers to be honest and dedicated to the cause which does not seem to be the cause……………….it now seems that we are awsting our valuable time….!!!

Dear jyotidi, i always give the date and place in the header itself as its the format used by the journous of dallies, but somehow may be the editors edit it. There is no room for complecency in my writing .
Also i had repeatedly told Mr . father christopher to contact president Mr. T.L Shreshta regarding the Issue which he is creating a furore in the blog.
and now im giving the mobile number – T.L shreshtha (9210915553)

All workers for the cause ahould be given travel..bus, auto and chaipaani money. Voluntary work means service is free but actuals should be paid for. Volunteers are supposed to provide free service/time but without having to delve into their pockets where evrybody is hardpressed for money. Expenses for self and family are very high these days. Medical expenses are a killer. One could be down with many of the diseases contactable in unhygienic cities and be down by at least a lakh. Not to speak of accidents, etc. Arpana Chhetri is back at Kurseong but still not cured of her physical ailment and also the mental trauma.

People work or fight for the cause with different intention some people participate with true felling towards the society but most of the todays generation participate with vested interest.I don’t know why this father christopher is asking for the all the account details of Said organization. why he is pulling Kamal’s leg but I know that fact that this father christopher is not a genuine person he is not even a good citizen of the society.
actually here he(father christopher) is not pulling kamal’s leg but is trying to expose the said organization and its Preze Mr T.L
father christopher has his own vested interest to do so
As far as your knowledge about the father christopher and the BGUF its seems very little but your taking their side as if you are the master of all
Pls don’t try to be master of all.

Yr allegation is over-stretched. Kindly restrain yrself. I am not interested in petty politics. Keep me out of it. Okay? I am not trying to be master of all and that too of the many organisations. Not interested. Got it? I know what I am doing and those who understand respect me for it. Thats what matters.
Father Christopher could be a fake or a ghost or an ET as far as my knowledge of him goes. I dont know him nether do I know you. You seem to so take yr annoyance with him. Why are you bothering me?
Rule no 1 for social work…put aside all ego and personal grudges. And a critic need not not be yr enemy. But I find that tho there are many Gorkhas working for the same cause criticism and remarks are taken as personal vendettas like the Montagues and Capulets and everyone killing/dying ignorantly Mercutio, Tybalt, Paris, Romeo. I am referring to Romeo and Juliet.

(i) knead the dough with eggs, salt and a little yeast..roll the kaudi (take a pinch of the dough, press and roll against the flat of the hand with finger so that you get the kaudi shape with its typical indent)..spread these over a newspaper…
(ii) shred boiled meat(preferably beef) and fry the same with chopped ginger, garlic, salt etc and keep it aside
(iii) in the mean time boil the bones till the juices come out
(iv) put in the kowdi and boil till they are done…make sure the soup is really boiling when you put in the kowdi…
(v) put in the fried minced- meat and garnish with coriander (chinese coriander would be especially good)and MSG
(vi) also don’t forget to make dalley paste with tomatoes…and mince some green chillies and immerse them in white vinegar…
(vii) pour piping hot kowdi in a bowl and serve with (vi)and light soya sauce..
(viii) i am not sure if this would taste as good as you think it should but it will give you some protein and definitely wont kill you…..

I dont have any grudges with Kamal Pradhan or with Bharatiya Gorkha Ekta Manch. Its just that i dont want some silly people to scam the money of poor people.
Kamal I want you to investigate this matter also I want you to convey this to T.L., Bijay Pradhan and to Parnim. They should know whats going on because my recent research proved that these three persons are involved in the scam.
T.L. Bijay and Parnim are the persons behind the money. These people should come up with the explanation of the funds. Otherwise, I will send letters to the concerned authorities in Delhi and other parts of India.
I still have the ticked where they have charged me Rs.500/-. I gave Rs.500/- as a donation but what happened to that money? Where is that money? I cant give my hard earned money to these people.
I dont know how other people take it but I think they should atleast come up with the explanation what they are doing with the money.
Kamal being a free lance reporter can investigate the matter. He should not be baised. He should come with the truth.
Ekta Manch’s media cell should come up the detailed report. Its not that I am demanding that they should publish the report online or I am not saying that they should show to the public. But at least they should show the reports to the members.
I think i am their member because on their ticket they have written “Members Only”
We need an explanation – Now BGUF has 14 days in their hand to show the details of the money other wise they will face legal notice according to the law of the land.

Reverend hare??? Ambo, ke bhako yoh chinde manche? You are one of the most corrupt person that I have ever come across. Remember how you were grumbling when no one suggested your name for one of the posts in GJMM when we had a meeting in Kalibari Mandir about two years back? You were lobbying hard, poor you.
If you have so much of problem, then go to BGUF office and see the audited report. Poor chaps, they lost money and didn’t earn a single pie out of the cultural show that they had organised, all because of people like you and Manoj Shankar who reported about it to govt agencies. It was because of Uttam Chettri and ACP Norbu that the case was solved. However, all the money and papers were confiscated by the agencies. You know about that too, don’t you? What a disgrace you are to the Christian community. Thukka kukkur!
@Nepali Dai- BGUF has done not one, not two, but hundreds of charity work for the people in distress and I think they owe no explanation to you. Koi bela, if you fall in distress, then call them, they would surely help you.
Well, I’m not a member of BGUF, but I think it’s high time that people appreciate the work BGUF is doing. I do not know why people, be it Robert Tamang, be it Manoj Shankar and so much so, even GJMM is against TL Shrestha and his BGUF. I think his is the only organisation which works in a more systematic and democratic way. May be, “jo hocho uskai mukhma ghoco” garnu khojeko hola. Just because TL Shrestha doesn’t come from the educated lot, people throw filth upon him, but inspite of that, his is the only organisation in truest form which is working for the welfare of the lower level gorkhas. BGP is for the elites, Robert Tamang’s organisation is well for himself and what more to say.
@JTM- You must attend BGUF’s meetings and see it for yourself.

I have had the opportunity to be acquainted with Mr TL Shresta and they are doing good social work.
However the blog is an interactive medium and once a post is placed here there will be reactions and responses. My suggestion was to respond to it without getting hurt or harassed. The BHAGOP PR executve Ms Rai’s responses to defend her org was a classic example of a person taking one’s job too seriously beyond community and self.

unless you have some religious or cultural objection to it, i suggest you try the kowdi with beef…surprisingly i have never tasted kowdi with chicken…another variation that you can try is this one: knead the dough accordingly, roll it into circular flats, spread it over the heated cover of the container in which you are boiling the soup, once they have firmed up due to the heat, cut into thin strips..collect enough of these ‘noodles’ and steam them in containers the way you make your momos…prepare the soup and the garnishing in the aforementioned fashion.. put in those steamed noodles when the soup is brought to a boil, along with the garnishing (especially the achaar…)and i guess you would have made another culinary discovery albeit in a shape that lends itself more to Euclidean conformity… the kowdi on the other hand is geometrically more complex…
