NEPAL: Indian SSB proposes central govt to construct barbed wire fencing along Nepal-India border

FROM NEPALNEWS.COM

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), the Indian para-military force deployed along Nepal-India border, has proposed the central government to construct barbed wire fencing along the entire stretch of Nepal-India border, Kantipur daily reported.

SSB suggested the central government to construct the barbed wire fencing along the entire stretch in response to the government’s call for a proposal to seal sensitive border areas and construct security towers in May this year.

After careful consideration, we have concluded smuggling and infiltration can’t be checked only by fencing sensitive areas, the entire stretch needs to be sealed, the SSB has mentioned in its report forwarded to the central government.

India has neither informed nor consulted Nepal on the issue. According to home secretary Govind Kusum, the issue was not raised even in the recent security talks between the home secretaries of the two nations held in Kathmandu.

India has been guarding its border along Nepal by installing SSB posts every 7-12 kms. Nepal and India share a open and porous border of about 1800 km.

SSB has given proposal to the Central govt of India. But what duty are they doing at present on the porous border all of a sudden these SSB wants fencing.MILLIONS of black money is being laundered through this border and our Indian govt is losing Billions of tax money.Govt should see the smugglers makeout a plan or open a customs post, dry port that also corrupt free and make green channel collect taxes duties let people be known as importers exporters rather than to be called the smugglers.
India is guarding its borders for no good,we are not threatened by a poor country like Nepal nor their border forces keep Indian side busy by firing and capturing Indian posts.
We Indian side are to be blamed only corruption flourishes on this borders which is to be looked seriously and strictly otherwise we will only talk and do nothing in concrete.
1950 TREATY of INDIA NEPAL allows free movement of citizens from both the countries INFILTRATION is more than 200% or more.SSB should enquire who has given INDIAN CITIZENSHIP,RATION CARD,RESIDENTIAL CERTIFICATE,INDIAN PASSPORT,INDIAN GOVT JOBS and all facilities from free education ,jobs to the infiltrators,Mr Home Secretary its nearing 59 years all this time everyone was sleeping..now what is this hurry for….

On the Contrary, Nepal will welcome this move as claimed by the mainstream media of Nepal… “Nepal has been inundated with people of Indian Origin mostly from Bihar and UP.”

Nepal’s Terai had a population of not more than 10,000 people in 1950 and the population has swelled to 60 Lakhs.

While the succesive Nepali Governments refused to absorb and give citizenship to just 90k Bhutanese Refufees of ethnic Nepali origin since the decade of Ninetees, just last year Nepal gave citizenship certificate to over 3.5 million people of Indian Origin making Indians the largest ethnic group dominating the demography by over 40% while the ethnic and indegionus Nepali Group restricted to below 10% except the Khas group.

Maithili, Bhojpuri and Awada is the second, third and fourth most popular spoken dialect in Nepal after Nepali with Hindi being the second most spoken language in Nepal’s parliament.

Mr Hamro, before you speak with your ass the movement…. please note is both ways…

Yes. A long overdue step in the right direction… Integration of the immigrants into the mainstream should follow with similar steps taken on the other side…. It is good because Nepal is in process of formulation of new constitution…. it should have ample flexibility to accomodate the aspirations of all the different communities of present Nepal…. this is linked to the aspirations of our own Nepalese brethren immigrated to India since 1950 for identity…

There should also be ample scope for the nepalese population to mingle with the Indian counterparts…… in this India should learn from its bigger and more powerful neighbour…For eg. the people working in various capacities in the govt. sector in the hills could be transfered in other areas of West Bengal… something that is not done at present…. and this ’scope’ for mingling could act as a catalyst for integration of minds….

Does SSB has the perogative to make proposals relating to internationl agenda to the union govt ?
I fear of impending doom for Indian democracy if military force is given unwanted privileges in politics. Are we then, preparing for military coup in this country ?

It seems their objective has successfully accomplished in Nepal. After being decorated n garnished with all the political favours n flavours by patriotic Bahuns, they r ,I suppose, trying to wage unrest there. The deployment of SSB along The border is itself a violation of Indo Nepal Treaty n India has repeatedly tried to dismantle n weaken the poverty ridden country for long.Mention may be made of The Gujral Doctrine first conceived n brought out by then foreign minister who later became India s p m,Inder Kr Gujral. The nefarious establishment seems to be indulging in a treacherous ploy of building barriers so as to create a staged civil war situation to feed world media n thus forcing the neighbouring state to meddle n finally its endorsement as its integral territory.
